⚔️ The Magic Gladiator
A lethal hybrid of the Dark Knight and Dark Wizard. The Magic Gladiator has found the secrets of casting magic while wearing heavy armor, and wielding blades as skillfully as any knight. Due to their mystical nature, they possess endless endurance, running for great distances without exhaustion.
⚖️ Pros & Cons
✅ The Advantages
- Able to switch seamlessly between melee and ranged attacks.
- Can use both Dark Wizard and Dark Knight skills.
- Incredibly easy to train and reset, even without full option items.
- Very good damage presence in PvP, Duels, and Castle Siege defense.
❌ The Disadvantages
- Low HP puts him at a disadvantage when battling bulky classes.
- At max stats, magic spells become largely obsolete for damage.
- Requires expensive items and unlocked Achievements to excel in high-tier PvP.
- Cannot be created until you reach Level 220 with a base character.
🔥 PvP Flow & Strategy
To be functional in PvP, an MG needs better gear than most characters. You won't easily solo a BK, but you excel as support. Your strategy is to harass from a distance: Run > Hit > Run.
1v1 Matchup Expectations (Equal Gear):
- BK & DL generally defeat MG.
- MG generally defeats Elf.
- MG vs SM often results in a stalemate.
- Reflect damage is your worst nightmare due to low HP!
Best Ally Buffs:
- BK (Swell Life): Crucial to maximize your low base health.
- Elf (Damage Buff): Maximizes your harassment power. (Skip the defense buff, it won't save you).
- SM (Soul Barrier): Helps you survive burst damage while you strike.
Duel Master's Combos
The Duel Master's Combo can be executed by 2 possible skill combinations depending on your build:
1. Power Slash ➔ Fire Slash ➔ Twisting Slash (STR Combo)
2. Lightning ➔ Inferno ➔ Flame (ENE Combo)
Warrior Skills
Pro Tip for Fire Slash: A great PvP harass combo is Power Slash -> Fire Slash -> Power Slash. Hitting the opponent with Fire Slash periodically decreases their defense!
Power Slash
Using specific MG weapons, the Gladiator can cast sweeping bolts of lightning energy.
Fire Slash
Creates fire in mid-air, slicing the opponent in a swift move while simultaneously lowering their defense rating.
Defense
Requires a Shield. Positions the MG in a defensive posture, reducing damage taken from enemy strikes by 50%.
Slashing Skill
A dreadful skill that uses both blades of a sword to cut an enemy, dealing 2 times more damage than normal attacks.
Twisting Slash
Allows the Gladiator to violently whirl his weapon around him to attack all adjacent targets.
Uppercut
Cleaves into an enemy through an upward slashing motion. Looks fluid, but takes dedication to master.
Lunge
Executes quick stab attacks that penetrate deeply through an opponent's armor into their vital parts.
Wizard Skills
Pro Tip for Harassment: Use Ice to slow down a chasing BK (useless against Ring of Ice users). Use Lightning to push away an opponent who is hitting you to death (still effective against Lightning Pendant users). For leveling and AFK resets, Evil Spirits is your absolute best choice, as it works perfectly at all agility levels on InfinityMU.
Aqua Beam
Conjures a beam of concentrated elemental water that penetrates through multiple opponents.
Comet Fall
Conjures a bolt of energy that shoots targets directly from the sky.
Evil Spirit
Summons spirits to fight on the side of the caster. Damages all opponents within the line of sight.
Fire Ball
Shoots a huge tongue of fire, giving massive damage to enemies. Easily mastered by novices.
Flame
Summons a pillar of flame which causes continuous damage on all creatures it touches.
Hellfire
Conjures hellfire that springs up from the ground and hits multiple targets around the gladiator.
Ice
Has a chance of chilling enemies, slowing down their movement and the speed of their attack.
Inferno
Creates a ring of fire around the caster, instantly burning those who come too close.
Lightning
A swift Lightning spell that can knock enemies back upon impact.
Meteorite
Summons a meteorite from the heavens to smite opponents.
Poison
Conjures poisonous vines from the ground. Poisoned enemies slowly lose life over time until cured.
Power Wave
Shoots a wave of force. Power Wave digs under the ground and moves toward the enemy to deal moderate damage.
Twister
Conjures small cyclones that can confuse the enemy when they are struck.
🏰 Special Castle Siege Skills
Spiral Slash
Exclusive Skill. A slash of fire spirals in the air while the blade is slashing through the enemy.
Mana Rays
Exclusive Skill. A bolt of blue mana light casts by the magic within the gladiator reaching straight to the enemy.
Equipment & Gear
There are sets by Dark Knights and Dark Wizards which Gladiators could equip. But the items below are purely for the Magic Gladiator. Blades that are only able to be equipped by Magic Gladiators possess a skill called Power Slash.
