The Paladins are the main infantry units of the Kingdom of Tarkan, these people are brave zealots that know no fear and fight with a belief that their God is with them in every battle. They are trained for many years not just in their physical capabilities, but they also deepened the faith of each individual paladin. Strengthened by years of war, the paladins learned much and became stronger with their experience in battle. They proved to be formidable in the battlefield, but their strength is outmatched by the magical powers of the Inquisitors. They had a long war against these Dark Wizards all because of their different beliefs and traditions. Paladins believe they are blessed by the heavens while the inquisitors dwell in dark magic.
During King Ahriman’s reign, the war between the Paladins and Inquisitors ended. Ahriman provided them home and refuge after Zaikan decimated the home of the wizards. The Paladins have learned to accept their difference with the Inquisitors ways of living and thus made peace with them.
A watchful peace was achieved throughout the years of Ahriman’s reign. So prosperous their Kingdom became that no other Kingdoms dared to conquer them. One reason is the power of the Paladins, these warriors can kill a man with one stab or with just a simple hit from their weapons. Aside from their armors made from the element Silsulphide, the Paladins can bless their whole party increasing their efficiency in battle. They can also strike the ground with a rageful blow so strong that it shakes the ground open. None dared to challenge these Royal guards with black sets of armor. But fate has a different plan for Tarkan. First, they felt a series of strong earthquakes, these quakes reached even the mountains of Devias. Giant waves came to the shores of Tarkan and then, a loud demonic roar from afar. The people of Tarkan succumbed to their fear and ran back to their homes where they thought it was safe. But not the Paladins, they ran to their posts and quickly formed a battle formation. King Ahriman, now about a hundred years old but looks as if he’s only in his mid 40s, bravely stood with his warriors. He ordered the Queen to evacuate with the people and sail as far away from Tarkan as possible. Together with their child, Queen Hermania rushed towards the western part of the Island where Ships are waiting for them. Ahriman knows this is no ordinary demon, the demon they are about to face is hailed as King of Tarhel, or in the common tongue, Tartarus. The demon known as Ancalagon the Black.
The Inquisitors casted a protective barrier for the whole island to prevent Ancalagon from entering, it bought them some time for the people evacuate and provided defense while the Catapults and Legionnaires attack the demon from a distance. Archers rained black arrows but did only little to no effect against the demon. The barrier could not hold much longer, the inquisitors were getting weaker and with their last ounce of strength and mana, the barrier fell. King Ahriman charged with his horse Bucephalus, followed by legions of Paladins and a loud battlecry. They fought against the demon, Ancalagon’s size is no reason to retreat for the Paladins, they strike and fought him even if the demon can flatten their ranks with a step. The demon’s thick hide is now taking damage from their attacks and Ahriman is pulling him down using his fire bursting chains. But Ancalagon is yet to unleash his power. Ahriman fell to the ground when the demon stood up with all might and fired a powerful beam of energy from his hands and destroyed everything caught by it. Paladins, Inquisitors, Legionnaires turned to ash, even the walls made from silsulphide melted. When Ahriman opened his eyes, what was left of the Paladins were still fighting against the demon, until Ancalagon struck the ground so powerful that the demon made the Volcano erupt, opened the faults of the Island and destroyed the whole Kingdom.
The people of Tarkan were safely away from the destruction, but they watched in horror as their home got destroyed from a distance. The blast was seen as far as Noria and the shockwave was felt by everyone on the refugee ships. A huge mushroom cloud reached the skies and ash rained reaching the other lands. Cries wailed on every Ships that carry the people of Tarkan to safety. Hermania and her son settled in Noria while the others scattered throughout the whole Continent establishing towns and communities that later served the adventurers of this world.

The Paladin Set is a Black Edition Set and consist of Helm, Armor, Pants, Gloves and Boots. The set can be worn by Blade Knight.

In game, Paladin parts drop from Box of Secrets and from Kundun. You can upgrade the items with full excellent options by using Jewel of Excellent.
