Inquisitor Set
(Black Edition - Grand Master)

Lore

The kingdom of Tarkan was well known for their powerful army composed of Paladins commanded by Legionnaires. Strong warriors that bravely defend their kingdom using their skills with swords, staff and shields, but they lacked in terms of magical capabilities. In order to strengthen the kingdom, king Ahriman proposed peace treaties and negotiations with the Inquisitors. He had high hopes that his actions will result to the end of their long war against the Inquisitors.

The Inqusitors are Grand Masters trained in the arts of dark magic. They protect their tribe against those who wished to conquer them. They are blessed with arcane power which makes them exceptional in terms of skills with magic. Their tribe live high up in the mountains which served as a natural protection against conquerors. With the discovery of Silsulphide, the element used in making the Black Set, the Inquisitorium, highest order of the Inquisitors felt threatened for they know the capabilities of this element. In desperation to counter this threat, they summoned the ancient demon Zaikan, for they are confident that with their power, they would be able to bend the demon to their will. They were all wrong.

Zaikan was a very powerful demon that almost wiped out the kingdom of Tarkan during its early years. This demon killed the first king of Tarkan, thus earning the title of “Tarkan’s Demise”. It was sealed away by a group of heroes whose names were never known nor written on any historical accounts.

The moment Zaikan was released from his seals, he casted a powerful inferno burning the whole temple of the Inquisitorium and killed everyone in it. The blast was so loud it awoken the people of Tarkan in their slumber, they thought the nearby volcano have erupted. A bright light can be seen up on the mountains, and Ahriman felt something is wrong. Ahriman ordered his warriors to prepare for battle and they will march to the mountains to check the situation. Before they even reached the path to the mountain, they saw the tribesmen running for their lives begging for help. King Ahriman quickly dispatched a small portion of his army to assist the survivors and they pressed on to assist the remaining Inquisitors battling with the ancient demon.

When they got to the battlefield, the legionnaires attacked from a distance distracting the demon while the blade masters shielded the Inquisitors in their retreat. Ahriman ordered his warriors to take the Inquisitors to the kingdom while they lure Zaikan far away to the coast.

The Inquisitors knew nothing about the Inquisitorium’s plan to summon Zaikan, but they felt ashamed of what their highest order did, not only it destroyed their home, it also threatened the existence of everyone in the Island. The Inqusitors wanted to correct the mistakes made by their order, they intend to cast a powerful magic that would kill Zaikan at the cost of their own lives. They will overload their bodies with tremendous amount of arcane energy then release it against Zaikan, in turn, their bodies will burn because of the heat generated by the energy they charged. One of the paladins explained that the Silsulphide is strong enough to load large amounts of arcane energy and it might help them cast their magic without injuring themselves in the process. They wasted no time and gave each of the Inquisitors a black set and went to the coast. When the Inquisitors got to the coast, they saw Ahriman, trying his best to keep the demon in his chains. With no hesitation, each of the Inquisitors charged their powers to create a large energy ball to throw to the demon. The Inquisitor’s set absorbed the extreme heat that arcane energy produced. When Ahriman saw that the wizards are ready to attack the demon, he let go of the chains and the Inquisitors threw their giant energy balls to Zaikan which completely obliterated the demon.

After the battle, Ahriman offered home inside the kingdom for the surviving wizards and their families. The Inquisitors understood that Ahriman only wished peace throughout the whole kingdom and his heart is pure kindness unlike the previous kings. They gladly accepted the King’s offer and thus ending the long war of Tarkan and Inquisitors.
