PvP Mastery Guide
Hero & Villain Combat Arts
Hero & Villain Combat Arts
So you've joined InfinityMU and want to dominate in Player vs Player (PvP) combat. To become the ultimate warrior, you must master the synergy between your equipment options, survival potting, and rhythmic skill execution.
🛡️ The Gear & Elemental Foundation
Victory begins in the vault. You must choose the right armor options and accessories to counter the server meta.
✨ Yellow (Jewel of Harmony)
Armor: DDI 7% vs SD Rate +5
DDI (Damage Decrease Rate) provides superior tankiness for fierce bursts, while SD Rate is for high-speed potting on low-latency connections.

Weapons: SD Ignore vs SD Decrease
Roll SD Ignore on weapons to slice through shields as an attacker, or SD Decrease if you are playing a heavy defender role.

💍 The Wind Accessory Meta
Most high-damage Blade Master and High Elf skills are based on the Wind attribute. Equipping Full Wind Pendants and Rings makes you significantly tankier against standard attackers on the server.
Pair these with Uber Sets for maximum Ancient Options scaling.
💎 Excellent Full Options
• Damage Decrease
• Reflect Damage
• HP / Mana Boost
• Success Rate
• Zen / Life Rate
Uber Sets include all the above plus powerful Ancient Options.
🟡 The Shield Gauge (SD System)
Understanding how damage is distributed is crucial before learning how to heal and sustain yourself in combat.
All characters have an additional yellow protection bar (the SD bar), located to the left of each character's HP bar. This protection system is only active on PvP servers. The SD is used exclusively during PvP and serves as an extension of the HP concept. It regenerates automatically only when standing in safe zones.
90% SD / 10% HP
When an attack deals damage during PvP, 90% of that damage is applied to the SD, and 10% is applied to the HP.
SD Depletion
If the damage exceeds the available SD, the SD will drop to 0, and the entire remaining amount of damage will then be applied directly to the HP.
🛑 Advanced Positioning & Tactical Niceties
⚓ The Movement Lock Trick
When holding a tight corner or defending a Castle Siege switch, hold [CTRL] + [SHIFT] while using your skills. Pressing Shift prevents your character from walking accidentally if you misclick, keeping your position strictly locked.
🦅 Class-Specific Tricks
- Elves: Mount a Dinorant during heavy crossfire—it inherently bypasses certain reflect damage mechanics.
- Soul Masters: Chain Ice Storm to slow enemies, immediately followed by Lightning to aggressively push them out of position.
- Dark Lords: Utilize the Dark Horse stomp to cancel an enemy Guild Master's seal progress or push switch-holders out of corners.
⚖️ Rules of Engagement (Self-Defense & PK)
🛡️ Self-Defense Mechanic
If another player attacks you first, a 60-second Self-Defense window activates. During this time, you may fight back and kill your attacker without acquiring a PK status or penalties.
⚔️ Player Kill (PK) Penalties
Killing innocent players accumulates PK Points. Hitting PK Level 3 (86,400 points) restricts your movement drastically, preventing further PvP kills and increasing item drop chances upon death. To clear your status, you must wait in-game or hunt monsters in Vulcanus.
🏟️ The InfinityMU Duel System
InfinityMU features an advanced, real-time Duel System in the Colosseum for organized 1v1 combat without PK penalties. Players start each month with 10 Duel Points. Winning a duel grants +2 Points, while losing subtracts -2 Points.

🧪 The Art of Survival (Potting)
SD Potions (Purple)
In InfinityMU, HP potions are secondary. We rely on SD Potions a.k.a. AG Potions - Large Complex Potion (the purple ones found in NPCs) to maintain our shield buffer. To survive, you must weave your potting rhythm into your attack rotation.
If you focus solely on attacking without constant potting, your SD will hit 0 and you will be shredded in seconds. Balance is the key to mastery.
⚔️ Blade Master Combat Rhythms
Combos are simple to understand but difficult to execute under the pressure of battle. A basic combo sequence is: Weapon Skill ➜ Twisting Slash ➜ Death Stab/Rageful Blow.
Requirement: You must complete Marlon's Quest (Level 220+) to unlock the combo ability. Without it, the sequence will not trigger. For rest of the classes Marlon's quest is not required to execute Combo. Read the Ultimate Combo Guide for all classes.
🎹 The Macro Method & The Weave
Assign skills to 1, 2, 3 and Potions to Q/W/E. Hold your right mouse button down over your opponent to continuously execute the Weapon Skill, then tap the rest.
"The Weave": [ 1 ] ➔ [ Q ] ➔ [ 2 ] ➔ [ Q ] ➔ [ 3 ]
Constant healing intercut between skill triggers.
🥁 The Paced Rotation
Focus on a steady "2..3..2..3" pace for maximum DPS when tanking.
