Large Complex Potion
SD Potions (often referred to as AG Potions or Complex Potions) are the most critical consumable items for competitive Player vs Player (PvP) combat in InfinityMU. They instantly restore your Shield Gauge (SD), keeping you alive against high-burst damage.
🟡 The Mechanics of SD Restoration
Unlike HP, your SD bar does not automatically regenerate while you are in combat or outside of a safe zone. You must manually restore it.
🛡️ The 90/10 Rule
In InfinityMU PvP, 90% of incoming damage is absorbed by your SD, while only 10% affects your HP.
The Danger: If your SD drops to 0, 100% of the damage bypasses your shield and hits your HP directly. Without SD potions, even the strongest armor will fail in seconds.
💜 Large Complex Potion
The Large Complex Potion is visually distinct by its deep purple color. Unlike standard Apple/Healing potions (Red) or Mana potions (Blue), Complex potions restore both HP and SD simultaneously.
Ensure your inventory is fully stocked with maximum stacks before entering the Colosseum or Castle Siege.
🛒 How to Acquire SD Potions
🏪 NPC Vendors (Primary Method)
For accessibility and fast restocking during intensive PvP events, Large Complex Potions are conveniently available for purchase directly from designated NPC Vendors located in major safe zones (e.g., Lorencia Bar, Devias, or Arena).
⚙️ Chaos Machine Crafting (Vanilla)
While rarely necessary due to NPC availability, SD potions can traditionally be crafted at the Chaos Goblin in Noria:
- 3x Large Healing Potions + 3x Large Mana Potions = Small SD Potion
⌨️ Combat Integration & Hotkeys
Possessing SD Potions is not enough; you must train your fingers to consume them constantly without interrupting your attack skills.
The Q/W/E Setup
By default, MU Online assigns inventory consumable slots to the Q, W, and E keys. Professional players place their SD Potions in these slots to keep their fingers hovering directly above their skill hotkeys (1, 2, 3).
"The Weave" Technique

Continuously tap your potion hotkeys between your skill activations. Never hold down a skill key for so long that your potion consumption stops.
