Potion Rate

The Potion Rate (Abr. Pot rate) is the amount of potions a player can use in an interval of one second. The potion rate is determined by the latency between a player's connection and the server; a low latency will result in a much higher potion rate.

The common abbreviation used to represent this speed is (#/sec); where the # is substituted for the amount of potions used in the time frame of 1 second.

Methods of measuring your pot rate

Method 1 (Most common):

  1. Buy 255 Large Complex Potions (1 stack of potions)
  2. Assign the potions to your Q/W/E keys by placing your mouse over one stack of potions and pressing Ctrl+Q/W/E
  3. Set a timer on your phone or other device for 1 minute
    • Note: Any device with precise enough measurement to see the time in seconds can be used for this.
  4. Use the potions as fast as possible in the time interval of 1 minute by pressing one of your potion buttons.
  5. Take 255 and subtract the number of potions you have left
  6. Then take the result and divide it by 60 (Time interval in seconds)
  7. The result will be equal to your pot rate.

Other Methods:

You can increase or decrease the time interval accordingly to remove discrepancies in your potion rate which could be caused by lag spikes. The time you use to calculate your potion rate must be converted to seconds.

Examples

Example 1: Method 1

A player has used 100 potions in a minute.

He received this number by subtracting the amount of potions left in his inventory (155) by the amount of potions he started with (255):

  • 255-155=100

Now the player has to divide this number by 60 (total amount of time passed in seconds) in order to find out his potion rate.

  • 100/60=1.6666

This player's potion rate is equal to 1.6666 pots/second according to a long interval test.

Example 2: Other Method - Short interval

The same player has used 30 potions in 20 seconds.

He received this number by subtracting the amount of potions left in his inventory (225) by the amount of potions he started with (255):

  • 255-225=30

Now the player divided this number by 20 (total amount of time passed in seconds) so that he could find out his potion rate:

  • 30/20=1.5

This player's potion rate is equal to 1.5 pots/second according to a short interval test.
