Copying someone is not going to get you to places, you will most likely end up in the category of no face players, the ones who have no personality, which is fatal when aiming for something great.Being yourself is vital, people will like you for who you are,not for who you want to be.

Be helpful is one of the most important values you have to achieve. Not everything you say could be helpful,do not try to repeat someone else's sentence, quote, answer, guide and etc.You have a brain and knowledge on some things, make the best of it,people will appreciate this.

Respect to be respected,a very vital thing you must do.If you want to get respect around here you must also show it to everyone. No one is in this community to be flamed, insulted, rubbed down and humiliated in front of people.Bare in mind that you should not do something that you hate being done on yourself.

Be reasonable when asking for something, asking too much is not going to get you anything.

A good reputation can open many doors for a player. It can even help him becoming a Staff Member someday. A good reputation will gain a player a lot of respect from his peers and as well as the Staff Team.

But a good reputation does not garantee you a place in the staff, every quality you have and everything you did is combined into one personality you have shown to the community. You cannot do one thing alone and expect a staff position, this is an enormous responsibility and must be handled with caution.

The Importance of Reputation

Your Reputation is Your Legacy. In InfinityMU, just like in real life, your reputation opens doors. A good reputation enhances your gaming experience, builds lasting friendships, and earns the respect of both the community and the Staff Team. Gaining it takes time, but losing it takes only a moment.

Core Community Values

Building a great reputation is a complex combination of personal characteristics. Here are the core pillars of a respected Infinitian:

What to Do (The Do's) What to Avoid (The Don'ts)
  • Be Original: Be yourself! People will respect you for who you genuinely are, not for who you pretend to be.
  • Be Genuinely Helpful: Use your own knowledge to assist others. People appreciate original advice and active problem-solving.
  • Give Respect to Get Respect: Treat everyone with dignity. If you don't want it done to you, don't do it to others.
  • Stay Cool & Mature: Approach disagreements calmly. Being reasonable when asking for something goes a long way.
  • Don't Be Hot-Headed: Toxic attitudes and angry outbursts are remembered quickly and will instantly damage your standing.
  • Don't Be a Copycat: Constantly repeating someone else's quotes, answers, or guides makes you a "faceless" player with no distinct personality.
  • Don't Humiliate Others: Flaming, insulting, or tearing players down publicly is completely unacceptable in this community.
  • Don't Ask for Too Much: Being overly demanding or begging will usually get you nothing.

How to Build a Good Reputation

It might sound daunting, but gaining a good reputation is highly doable if you follow these simple guidelines consistently:

  • ✔️ Be fair and honest in your trades and gameplay.
  • ✔️ Play clean: Never use any illegal programs or hacks.
  • ✔️ Stay out of trouble: Avoid getting reported or banned.
  • ✔️ Be friendly and approachable to newcomers and veterans alike.
  • ✔️ Show respect to your fellow players and the Staff Team.
  • ✔️ Be loyal to your friends, your guild, and the server.
  • ✔️ Most importantly, be yourself!

Influence on Gameplay & Staff Positions

The Path to Leadership
A stellar reputation earns you immense respect from your peers and the Administration. It is the absolute foundation for anyone hoping to become a Staff Member someday.

However, a reality check: A good reputation alone does not guarantee you a place on the Staff Team. Being a staff member is an enormous responsibility that requires specific skills, dedication, and extreme caution. Your reputation gets your foot in the door, but every quality you have and everything you do is combined into the personality you present to the community.
